FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Why would I hire you as a writer, editor or coach?

A: How many times have you said, "Someday I'm going to write a _____ (fill in the blank). With my writing, editing and coaching, "someday" can be today.

Q: What do you do?

A: I bring your story to life, ensuring that your idea grows into an actual manuscript. I nurture your writing capabilities and you as an artist.

Q. What do you charge?

A. Each project has its own time and work demands. After an extensive interview to discover what you need, I can then present a detailed cost breakdown.

Q. Will you get my books to agents or publishers?

A. No. I will not take on a project that I don’t think is publishable, but I do neither marketing nor can I guarantee that it will be published by a publishing company. I can, however, help you write a proposal and guide you if you are interested in self-publishing.

Q: Why are you qualified to be my coach?

A: Not only am I a published and award-winning writer, but my years as a counselor, a dramatic director and an actor have given me valuable skills to help people accomplish their dreams and goals. Click on Susan's Work and Bio / Résumé.

"If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot...reading is the creative center of a writer's life...you cannot hope to sweep someone else away by the force of your writing until it has been done to you." — Stephen King
